I sat down and made a bunch of spreadsheets. You can start with a full list of all the apps on your phone, and which email and phone numbers you used to register (if that is what you did) with them. I wanted a clean separation so I had like new numbers and a paid email account for use after the shift.

I marked down every app that had data that I wanted to preserve, particularly those without cloud based storage of that data (things like online marketplaces dont really have any relevant data you need to manually copy over to your new phone). Apps like netflix does not need to be migrated.

I also wanted to replace youtube with newpipe and for that I needed to port over my subscriptions (over a thousand on youtube) so I sat down one day to sort just that part out and only chose those creators I thought I really wanted to follow (No more slop!). I got it down to like 300 that day.

Sorry for the word wall, I think I got carried away.

Drop me a message if you have any questions about the move or any blockers you think I could help with. Always happy to help with these things.

Hey, thats going on too. I've read papers from even back in 2020 that was trying to do things like that (I read specifically breast cancer). They just dont get as much marketing or media exposure until we see a breakthrough.

Reminder that every sizable company in the attention economy retains amongst its employees individuals who have the academic and professional background to fine tune their systems to make and keep a vice grip on the attention of it's users/victims, regardless of the negative effects it has on the micro level for an individual victim, or the macro level on society as a whole.

On my old android, I used AccuBattery but now I'd prefer an open source alternative. I've seen Battery Bot and another called Plus Plus Battery. The former is really old, last updated like 3 years ago and the latter seems like it is in early stage and built for a few brands in particular. What apps do you use to keep track of battery health?

What I'm looking for is keeping track of battery health like AccuBattery does, monitoring charging and discharging cycles, time remaining etc. Basically everything that AccuBattery does. Any ideas?

I don't know if it's because I grew up in a different time period or whether my sense of humor is just misaligned, or if it's just that I don't have the background necessary, but I don't understand shit.

I don't get any of the jokes, some are just completely undecipherable, and some comics just leave me feeling stupid as hell.

How do you guys understand any of this? What do the user demographics of this community look like?

Is this a government psyop? Are these comics evidence trails to hire super smart cryptography detectives like Cicada 3301? Are they memetic triggers for activating sleeper agents? To be honest I think I'd feel better if it was.
