gas chambers were just cleansing facilities

And

the crematoria lacked capacity for the dead

These statements seem to be in a logical battle. Camps weren't meant to kill but they had too many dead.

The worm eats well done steak with ketchup. Statistically he should have choked many times.

*I have zero data to back this claim, just an assumption that it would be more likely to choke on shoe leather

I live in an area where I think the worst drivers in the US live. I absolutely hate people who honk as soon as the light turns green. You don't know what I can see, you don't know if it is safe to go. Because sometimes it isn't. I've had to learn to still look both ways after the light turns green because almost once a week (and I only drive 2-4 days most weeks) I see someone completely blow the red going 60 in a 45.

I also blame phones for traffic, because it goes the other way too. Why did you miss that green, because 3 people in front of you were on their phones. I usually give a slow 5 count before giving a beep.

I'd have an easier time agreeing with you if any one of them had shown even a bit of spine against this fascism.

Is eye bleach a thing here?

Nearly half the population didn't vote at all. It's not a small number that would still defend him. Maybe not half, but significant enough. Then you have to wonder, how many active duty personnel didn't vote for him and where would they stand when the orders were given. Would they commit treason in the eyes of the CIC?

His approval ratings don't mean a whole lot. We've seen how well polls have translated to real results in the last decade. I would also argue that disapproval does not translate to civil disobedience.

154 million people voted in 2024. That's a hair over 65% of the voting agreed population. Over half of those people supported this shit stain, and even if they disagree with him on some things now, most will still support and defend him.

My personal objections to participating in a armed resistance aside. No one is looking to organize an armed resistance as far as I'm aware and the concept of organizing such a resistance seems nearly impossible for many reasons.

I've seen a few reports of protesters making things more difficult for ICE, but that's about the most resistance I've seen. I'm starting to see why reasonable Germans didn't rise up, it's not that they agreed or didn't want to, it's difficult to organize a resistance. There needs to be a clear leader, good communication channels, a way to vet those who join, and anything else a military operation needs. And even then, you'd be going up against over half the population and the armed forces. And it would be giving a reason for them to use full military force against the citizens.

There is no good end to this, there is no way to stop this from continuing. I think a lot of people are counting on midterms to bring a peaceful end to this nightmare, I doubt we will have that chance and even if we do, the outcome will not be enough to swing the power.

We're fucked.

The fear is manufactured by those with power. A race war is much better for them than a class war.

It wasn't an oversight, it is a feature because manual door pulls are old fashioned and not as cool.

Electronic windows were an improvement over hand cranked, but the doors could still be opened. Though I do wonder if they have ever been the cause of a loss of life.

I agree that this design should have never passed any safety board. That the ability to open the door can be disabled or made much more difficult.

I suggest picking 1-3 topics, contacting each representative and senator one at a time, and communicating your stance for one issue. Call back and do the next issue, and so on. This process will help ensure your concerns are tallied.

Miss the days when you could buy a dumb TV and add the tech you wanted.

  • Most tipped workers already don't pay federal taxes.
  • Increasing the tipped minimum would do more.

Edit: really there should be no minimum lower than the hourly minimum.

“Those people . . . ” Donald said, trailing off. “The shape they’re in, all the expenses, maybe those kinds of people should just die.”

“I don’t know,” he finally said, letting out a sigh. “He doesn’t recognize you. Maybe you should just let him die and move down to Florida.”

Wait! What did he just say? That my son doesn’t recognize me? That I should just let him die?

Did he really just say that? That I should let my son die . . . so I could move down to Florida

A better question would be what are you going to do to make sure the orange Mussolini doesn't win?

Make sure you, your friends, and your family are Registered to vote.

Make sure everyone you know gets to the polls on our before election day.

Become a poll worker.

We need to make sure we vote in numbers too big to steal. In 2000 the election was handed to Bush by the Supreme Court because of one state. Looking at the last term, the court would absolutely find a way to shift the election to the con in chief if it was just one swing state with irregularities.

Talk to people about project 2025 and what it will mean. This is how the guardrails from 2017 are removed. This is how we start a Christian theocracy. If we vote blue all the way down, the Dems may be able to put stronger rails in place. If it's not Project 2025 it will be Project 2029. These conservative think tanks have been doing this since Reagan, but this is by far the scariest.

Talk to friends and family about the Biden administration wins. It's not just Biden you're voting for, it is a continuation of his administration.

Bottom line, this is likely the most important election of many of our lives. All of us must participate.

The parties used to work together, it was unthinkable to not compromise for their constituents. Today we hear politicians talk as if it would be treason to work with members from the other side.

There is no both sides in this either. One side wants to govern alone to their own interests, not those of their constituents.
