The Dept of Education has made a DEI report website for schools**

https://enddei.ed.gov/

i think you have to put a real school name and a real zip code, otherwise it will not let you report. change up the email address each time as well (use a fake one duh) and crash the website!!!

(to the mods, i’m unsure if this is appropriate for this sub, if it isn’t, pls lmk and i’ll post elsewhere thanks!)

My family went despite all normal obstacles - no childcare, brought the kids! We were late, decided, hey 20 minutes will be better than nothing! We live in a red state, the protest was in a suburb. There were so many people there, and there were so many people honking in support!

The best part was, we had friends there we hadn't seen in a few months, it was really nice to just connect with people in person spontaneously. I went from nervous to feeling defiant and powerful the moment we arrived. Just posting to say - you got this, everything is going to be good, just show up to the next one and take your power back.

You scroll through social media or you get a notification from someone, and you see the American flag in their profile picture. What kind of impression does that person give off? To me, it's usually not a good one. Rather than reflecting the American ideals that I hold dear, the use of the American flag has felt like a symbol that celebrates the attacks on those ideals. Maybe that will resonate with some people.

I don't think it is controversial to say that the American flag has been hijacked by nationalists. I want it back. It might be small form of protest in the grand scheme of things, and it might confuse people who don't know me, but I'm adding a little red, white, and blue to my social media profile photos to show this is one more thing they're not taking away from me.
