Good question. Let me check that.

Well following their documentation, it's a distinct IP in a specific IP range.

Good!

I don't know for you but, by default, all our ISP box here broadcast an "open" SSID that allows any customers of this ISP to login with their ISP credentials on the ISP box around them (except if the customers switch off this function). That allow a customer with a dead box or in travel to still have internet. (traffic is of course segregated).

So if you know the ISP brand via the IP range and find a isolated home with this provider ssid visible, you found the address of the IP. Again that work only with low number of houses or not often use ISP.

Connect for me is not connected like a logon but more in term of network connection (pinged).

Depends of where you lives. if you have only 1 house per km² around you and your isp box provide predictable SSID name, you could be easily found as the ip range is per provider.

Google street cars capture also the wifi network around them when taking street photos.

And getting your ip can connect the people directly to your box. A trace route command to this IP could return intermediate equipment of your isp, helping to pinpoint your town or even your street.

Yeah, and it's language lock too. I was wondering what is was until i said it in english...

Nop, nop nop.

You focused on the notion of state versus nation (what the screenshot talk about).

The nation of France exists since centuries and have never been reset by any war or change of leadership.

We didn't reset our identity as Franc(ais) because we updated our government system (we iterate it several time and will continue probably soon by another version).

Sometime it's monarchy, sometimes it's republic. Depend on what happens to us.

But the nation of Franc(e) started to exists when Clovis Ier merged several kingdoms at around the 500 AD. We learn that in history class when we are young and learn about our history (for those interested: wiki).

Using one of the government iteration of a nation to say: it's no more, let's reset everything is missing the point of the global message.

Does the usa reset when updating its constitution?

With all this shit going on, I'm happy to see him smile.

First, you could see from his body language that he was worried to have to delay his call (could have been a critical information), hopping it would not upset Macron, then the relief and big smile when Emmanuel told probably "Yes, sure buddy. take your time"

I have a lot of respect for Zelenskyy because you need resilience to handle the crazy pressure and responsibility he encounter everyday.

I really hope he will survive this mess, not killed by a FSB or CIA agent/coup.

If the other serious media have integrity, they should also remove themselves from any official event in the name of free speech (and future protection as that could happen to them later).

This is the only way to treat this kind of dangerous behavior.

We are in 2024 and they still use the word "race" to segregate the American population in several groups. So no surprise a DNA service could be so popular in the USA.

If they were American citizen and just that - without subdivision and the legal right to ask or use their gene, color skin or whatever_they_think_is_important_to_distinguish_themself - well a lot of issues and strange "behaviour" (aka racisme) would have disapeared.

Or at least decreased as nobody would have the legal tools and data to enforce it: gerrymanding, blaming a vote on a "community", having your town split in "community" sectors and no shame at all to call it like that officially! Which others country put "chinatown" on their map?

As a teenager, I was shocked by this fact when visiting the USA 25 years ago. That and the fact i have found in a normal marketplace unprotected ammunition sold near the baby milk. "baby stuff, baby stuff, 9mm ammo... what!?!"

This DNA service is just the result of this global problem: the american society and its laws are still allowing passive racism.

So americans want to prove (to themself, to others?) via DNA results that they can’t be racist because they have a ~~black friend~~ sorry : black DNA ancestors.

Some will tell you: "ho it’s just for fun". But is fun really the only motivation here?

And congrat to them as they don’t only expose themself (genetic data are priceless and should be protected at all costs) but also they expose all their children, children's children, etc. These chidren probably wouldn’t have agreed to that if they were born.

It’s even worse..

At no moment, you are in financial or personal trouble because (despite this situation being 100% your decision) it’s your old company!

You already left with a big bonus and don’t care if this decision will impact people life... You fly in private jet...

Yep, really good system...

From me for example. I follow this studio and team since many years and i've participated to the funding of Divinity: Original Sin (DOS) more than a decade ago...

They got money from several sources but mainly because (or i should say thanks to) they delivered good products, they have being able to survive and work on BG3. Luck is not the reason, they've worked hard to achieve that...

Totally useless "article". You learn nothing, you have to navigate between poor writing with high usage of explectives. It's like reading a 11 years-old rebel child blog.

tdrl: he use Arch linux, boomers...

it's even worse.

  • he delayed the research of the site by providing wrong information (while he knew perfectly where the crashed plane was... because he walk to it to get the videos footage)
  • payed an helicopter to extract the plane scrape to a secret location (while ntsb was still looking for the crash site)
  • then destroyed the evidence, so the ntsb could not perform any checks

i could add also that he had a fire extinguisher hide in his pant (to be able to access the footage if the plane was still on fire i presume), the original motor was may be replaced before the crash, the plane door was not properly lock (to facilitate his jump)... ha and yes, he had a jumpsuit (no fitting a normal pilot activity)...

Well, all of that was badly done. He's a piece of shit that should never flight again.
