To be fair (while much of the writing is definitely shitty) they wanted to keep him in the school non-stop at this point because the people out to get him were becoming more prevalent and his enemies more powerful. So the intention to keep him safe.

But she probably could have directly said that. Most of the problems in the book could have been solved or entirely avoided if Harry would have listened to what he was told by Dumbledore and others

There was an ice cream party for the company. Those who attended were laid off.

I'm an American working in the u.s. for a company based in Germany. They have soooo many more days off than us. They're out at least 3 months of the year before taking additional PTO. They like to bring their European values of work to the u s. But unfortunately that doesn't mean that I get any more off time. I save all year from January to December and if I never took any of it my PTO amounts to 3 weeks. If you're an American they have different standards for you because american work culture means getting fucked and hating your life lol.

That being said I still feel like the days I get are generous and I am happy and grateful. But that's only because I used to get nothing at my old job. It's only crappy if I compare to others which is the thief of joy and whatnot.

At least it wasn't in the US. Calling the police on someone for anything has a non zero chance of just getting them straight up murdered. So i was happy to see it was in NZ lol

They're not compromised of cells, can't self regulate, and can't replicate on their own and other organisms have to do that for them. The last point being important to our criteria for living. I was never taught as a biologist by anyone that they were alive

We did this in highschool but with a texting and driving simulator. You had to drive the car and not hit a ton of obstacles meanwhile texting back a specific message in response to incoming text messages. I played a shit ton of video games as a child so I was super good at this and never crashed. Made the gym teacher mad. I still understood the point of it though of course but I liked being able to beat the game.

God sometimes when I read stuff like this as a post I reflexively down vote because I hate it so much until I remember it's just a post calling attention to someone being a piece of shit and not agreeing with them. I up voted again to fix it lol

Slime mold is a protist not fungi :0. I'm just being a jerk here doesn't matter lol. I love the slime molds they're so cool I always liked having them in the lab each year as a teaching tool. Definitely venom

I worked at McDonald's to be able to afford to go to college and they sold my fingerprint data. I got like 50 dollars in the mail for compensation. Always thought that was fucked. They probably made more selling it all than the settlement was. I should've gotten a lot
