Nawrocki won. I voted against him, but if Poles wanted a thug as president, then that's what they'll get. This is what democracy looks like, and it should be respected.

If Poland elects a thug and a junkie as its president, the country is doomed.

In my opinion, MPV is even better. I mean, it is faster and has better codec support. On the other hand, VLC has a better user interface with a lot of preferences. As for Showtime, oh boy, it's a clear beauty!

For now I'm staying with MPV, because ffmpeg > gstreamer.

The truth is, if we do nothing or continue to act as we are now, Ukraine will lose. We need to do something. More ammo, more equipment, more sanctions, more of everything. Probably we will have to get our hands dirty and even spill some blood. Putin is a madman who will not accept defeat. If we don't arm Ukraine to the teeth or deploy troops there, he will always try to occupy it.

I haven't played part 2 yet, but first one was good. 2nd unfortunately never came out on PCs.

Imho, linking to GitLab (source) is the best way to share on Lemmy. I see news about the Wine 10 release all day, and these are not shown as crossposts due to different links. Here are some other crossposts:

When I made a troll post about 09.11 and wine 9.11 release.

Something like: "wine 9.11 has landed" + some wtc attack picture with wine logo on it.

edit: And there was a reply to a comment about how the chinese communist army is the most peaceful and just army in the world. I just shared a picture of the Tiananmen Square 'Tank Man.' I got banned on lemmy.ml and downvoted to oblivion.

Perhaps we could also get a built-in AI tool for automatic subtitle synchronization?
