Well that's equally as fine as well.

You think only conservatives mods would want to create safe positive environments for their users?

I don’t think that’s at all what conservatives want to do.

Because votes = views.

If you make something and it instantly gets to -2 within seconds because of bot/trolls it means no one will ever see it.

I find it weird how harsh AI haters treat people who use it.

Honestly it sounds like you’re in Europe somewhere?

I’m in Australia, we have no population to support living outside of the few cities that you cannot afford to live in unless you live hours out of the city via P/T or car.

So what live a 3 hour drive from my workplace?

A retail job won’t afford me a bloody house and there’s like 4 cities in the whole country that you might find a job in.

Yeah let’s be proud of his independence by promoting him to make choices such as what shoes he wears.

The kid wants something so he can practice the art of being social and fitting in. You are not enriching their lives by giving them the answer without letting them work it out and come to their own understanding.

Why would we let some arsehole planner dictate how we move in our spaces?

Oh man it’s like every out of touch bad advice I was given as a kid came back.

John Alloo's Chinese restaurant, Ballarat

John Alloo's Chinese restaurant main road Ballaarat, 1855, lithograph, State Library Victoria

In contrast to the vitriol directed at ‘Celestials’ in contemporary written sources, Gill's print of John Alloo's Chinese restaurant is a scene of bustling activity and apparent racial harmony. John Alloo came to Australia in 1844, before the 1850s gold rush, and established his restaurant in the early days of the Ballarat township. The sign advertising 'soups always ready' and the depiction of canisters suggest that this was perhaps the earliest Chinese takeaway restaurant in Victoria.

From what I can gather nothing much is really known about this photo. Often cited as the earliest 'news' photograph, as it captured an event. Who the man was or his crime are lost to time.
