wow, thank you, that's an amazing compliment!

for sure, i think the music is more important than the fashion. dark and alternate describes 90% of what i listen to even though it doesn't necessarily belong to the goth scene. if i had to give up either my wardrobe or my record collection I'd say bye bye clothes in an instant

i'm making a note of it!

i lean more towards black, death and doom metal even though my fashion and aesthetic is definitely way more goth than metalhead. goth fashion is just so more high femme aesthetics

the ingredients just list soybeans, water and salt. but it tastes different than soy sauce. it works great as a replacement for fish sauce in recipes that call for it. i'm surprised looking at the label and seeing that it doesn't have seaweed or something in it to give it that maritime flavor

hard to say, these might all not be pure goth but:

siouxsie and the banshees - hyæna

dead can dance - s/t

killing joke - s/t

the cure - pornography

cocteau twins - treasure

are definitely on my shortlist

Thank you! Sage recommended it to me when i decided to leave bluesky due to the overwhelming influx of liberals, fascists and transphobes

satay sauce made with peanut butter, red curry paste, tamarin paste, vegan fish sauce, palm sugar and coconut milk

tofu cubed and fried in oil with chili flakes, white pepper, tumeric powder, garlic powder, coriander powder and cumin.

added rice noodles somewhat undercooked and mixed with the tofu and satay sauce until reduced and noodles finished cooking.

garnished with fresh spring onion

thanks for the heads up! that sounds scary! maybe I'll have to post most outfits on the hanger or use photos of models wearing them. i am 2/3 finished with my tattoo bodysuit so most outfits would be hard to totally anonymize

thank you! i thought i cropped the face out of the pic? can you see more than my chin and the bottom of my hair?

ok! here is one of my outfits! this one is a green wrap dress from Disturbia with black snake, plant and bug print, worn over a black mesh turtleneck, black leggings (not seen but visible through the split when walking) and paired with ankle boots from Gothicana and accessorized with vintage silver jewelry

Hi! I just joined due to the enshittification of bluesky and hope to find new community here. I'm a goth trans woman interested in art, music and fashion.

i wrongly posted my introduction in the hexbear community so i'm just making a new one here when the original is deleted

Hi! I just joined due to the enshittification of bluesky and hope to find new community here. I'm a goth trans woman interested in art, music and fashion. I have a few questions before i post:

  1. i know selfies aren't allowed due to opsec but can i post selfies with my face cropped out to show off my outfits?

  2. Can i share art i make even though it might be recognized from elsewhere and people could with some effort tie the artwork to my real identity?

Thanks for any clarification!
