"So, what is this 5 month gap in your CV"

"Well, I was working for DOGE"

"Right, I think we know enough and can end this job interview. Thank you for your time. Don't call us, we'll call you".

American Exceptionalism!

I saw a similar thing in Britain during the Leave Campaign - lots of arguments of the "when we're out the EU will give us most of the rights members have, but without the obligations" kind, anchored only on British Exceptionalism, and enough people fell for it that Leave won.

Nationalist Delusions Of Grandeur is on hell of a drug.

Cycling and walking are also far healthier options since they count for the whole "if you walk at least 30 minutes a day your chances of heart conditions drop by 70%" thing.

Even better, the fewer the cars around, the better it gets for everybody who walks and cycles (due to decreased pollution and less danger on the road).

Even electric cars and even if 100% of our electricity was from renewables still pollute due to the micro-particles produced by the tires when rolling on the road (and heavier vehicles make this worse).

Worry not: Trump can pardon him if he's ever convicted!

Zionists trying to kill members of the ethnicity they claim to represent for "not being White enough".

It's the natural evolution of all Nazi-like white supremacist movements.

If there's one thing that Sony's transition from a quality electronics company to a copyright-heavy media-driven pro-DMCA-lobbying company back in then 00s has taught me it's to "Never, ever trust Sony".

The whole idea that Tolerance is a Social Contract seems to be what works best: One is Tolerant towards others who are Tolerant and those who are not Tolerant are breaking the Social Contract of Tolerance and thus are not entitled to be the recipients of Tolerance from others.

Tolerance as a Principle doesn't work well exactly because of the Paradox Of Tolerance which is that by Tolerating the Intolerant one is causing there to be less Tolerance since the Intolerant when their actions are tolerated will spread Intolerance (as painfully demonstrated in Present day America, especially with Trump).

When "they" make a statement it's bad, when "we" make a statement it's good.

It's pretty standard tribalist thinking.

Whilst not at all exclusive to people of the Far Right (it's a natural tendency in all of us which, IMHO, we need to be alert for and stop it when it pops up in ourselves), tribalism it is the core (maybe even the entire foundation) of Far Right authoritarian "ideologies" (the non-authoritarian ones, like Neoliberalism, also exploit other human cognitive weaknesses).

Yeah, but the way things are going soon it will be cheaper to buy a B-52 to live in than a house.
