If communism is so good then how do you explain this one Latvian fascist I know saying it was bad? He tells me all "real Latvians" think like him, a claim that I do not find suspicious at all.

I know what transhumanism is, but people who are not, for example, academics in a related field calling themselves a transhumanist makes no sense to me. Like, as a transhumanist, what do you do?

Are these people just identity-hungry fans of a genre of sci-fi? Are they saying we shouldn't work to solve societal problems because technology will do it for us? Do they just watch a lot of youtube videos about it?

The choice to specifically use the word "democracy" here instead of "nation" or "country" is pretty strange, would doing war crimes be okay to do if the target country was designated not-a-democracy?

The idea of creating a new comm to generate discussion on a subject should be abandoned, our numbers are too low for comms to function like subreddits. As comms are right now, they are likely silencing discussion on some subjects. Instead, the line of reasoning behind creating a new sub (or continuing the existence of an old one) should be one of the following:

  1. Some users would likely want to not see posts about the topic (doomer, anime, games, veganism, electoralism...)

  2. To create a space where marginalized voices are not drowned out by the majority (anti_cishet_aktion, neurodiverse...)

  3. Special cases where one might want to look at older posts (mutual_aid, feedback, announcements...)

All other posts should be put in a main comm, which should be named better than chapotraphouse so new users aren't discouraged from posting.

One of my favorite insights is that dehumanization spreads itself, and both the objective and the subjective kinds tend to cause each other in a giant web of reciprocal relations. It pops up everywhere, and it is something we will have to consciously fight.

Having to pay for things with a thousand of something kind of makes the logic of the world break down if you look at it too closely. Like, no one is counting those, you would need scales that are big enough to fit thousands of coins to weigh them + a huge set of counterweights, and this is in a world where things like Lighten Object exist. There is no way to make commerce make sense in a way that isn't very inconvenient to the players.

I happen to know only one thing about China, the one-child policy, but luckily it is the only thing needed to explain every social phenomenon

Can you imagine these leftists who argue for this game actually trying to organize? Someone whose reaction to this is "Uh actually it's a consumer boycott and therefore not effective🤓" must be just incapable of solidarity of any kind. Genuinely, unironically doing the "there are starving people in Africa" argument at trans people asking for recognition. Absolutely 0 self-awareness.

Love to buy a car that was designed by Kevin McCallister to stop the wet bandits

  • Put some research into finding a way to not have 1/4 of the characters be pedophiles
  • Turn down the dating simmyness by about 70 %, let the other characters develop interpersonal relationships
  • Keep turning the "main character actually having character traits" dial, we can reach 10 % by 2050
  • Maybe two fewer Revolver Ocelot voice Mr. President scenes than in 5
  • Since we are doing social themes, how about "communism is good"?
  • Ska soundtrack
