If they can literally steer and accelerate the car with a computer, they could surely detect if a door or latch was opened at any point.

Hobbyists have been doing it for cheap using home assistant and cheap sensors, I'm sure a company valued at 100+ Billion could too.

When I first read it for some reason my brain registered Uruguay. I was thinking the departure from oil and taxes funding public works didn't quite fit the no taxes perspective of conservatives.Glad to hear they are not poisoning what seems like a progressive country.

I do feel bad for Paraguayos though, from some short YouTube videos on the country it seems like it has suffered enough throughout the recent times, although I'm no expert or even familiar enough with Sudamerica.

Once you start gifting cash, you also start seeing how unnecessary it is sometimes to gift people things. Family (that you like, but don't meet much) get together for Christmas? Why bother having adults get gifts that then they gift back in form of another gift and no one really uses?

I'm OK with gifting kids some cash (if possible) since its a one way thing, but once 2 adults would have gifted each other cash back and forth, it exposes how silly it would have been.

Cat and echo are bloat. What's wrong with programming the microchips each time you want to change a byte?

Raspberry PI 4 MSRP when introduced (2019): $35 (1 GB) $45 (2 GB) $55 (4 GB) $75 (8 GB)

Raspberry PI 5 MSRP when introduced (2023): $45 (1GB - added later) $50 (2 GB) $60 (4 GB) $80 (8 GB) $120 (16 GB)

The 5 while claiming 2x performance was considered to be the start of offering no value for many users since it started above $100 for the 16 GB model, which many small form factor used PCs from EBay could surpass in performance for projects that required no GPIO (like self hosting apps).

Before 2020 each new generation would offer a performance and memory boost at similar prices to the previous.

Yikes, its hard to believe your eyes nowadays, it makes more sense in the context of a protest display, thanks for the feedback.

I wouldn't. Why would I bother at this point. Their commitment is to making money, not customers.

They more often than torrents do have the wrong tags when its not English music. Took me way too many emails to google music and Spotify before they stopped screaming at me with ALL CAPS on one album and before removing the dots after album track names (1. Track Name), not to mention the ones named TRACK 1, etc.

People also seriously over estimate the effort required to install an android auto/car play stereo and backup camera. One adapter later and green wire connects to green, red to red, etc. most of the work goes to watching videos on how to do it to get a clearer picture. Not to mention that even for something on the fancier side you pay perhaps one car payment and you are done vs signing up for another 5 years of monthly misery.

Yes, I was thinking how finicky and slow computers were back then (when compared to your now average PC) requiring restarts and the occasional BSoD showing up.

My guess is that with my current knowledge of computers now, I could have been more effective, but would be limited by the hardware more than anything.

Nowadays I freak out if my personal computer even gets a hint of slowness on day to day tasks (as i recently found out using unrar on Linux...)

They can also read your more personal emails if the other party uses gmail regardless of what you use. The best you can do is try to distance your different "online personas" by separating personal emails, purchases and other use cases keeping Google out of as many as you can without needing other people to also jump ship.
