Cheap cherry slabs with black epoxy. The top is boring but I love the way the front turned out. Drawers are lined with red velvet and have black steel pulls.

The continuous grain on the drawer fronts is fucking perfect, my dude. This is the sort of work that makes me reevaluate my own. Kudos and make sure to use this in your portfolio: she's a stunner

Until now, I've never seen anything with epoxy that I found visually impressive. And you went all the way to stunning!

Thanks! I completely get it. I'm kinda tired of epoxy everywhere but I love a little accent here and there. I filled a decent sized void in a rosewood console table with copper epoxy. The contrast of copper and rose is beautiful yet organic. Most people don't notice it's epoxy.

Maybe I'm weird, but it just looks really dirty and uneven to me. Guess it's not my thing.

The woodgrain and design almost hit me like a dazzle camouflage, once I got my eyes and brain on the same page it started to look pretty nice to me.

I'm no woodworker, and maybe I've only seen cherry lumber tinted far too red - but this the the first cherry wood anything I've genuinely liked!

Wouldn't believe it was cherry if I saw it

Maybe it's the light but at first glance I taught it was maple. Looking at the top it looks more cherry red-ish.

It's gorgeous nonetheless!

Very dramatic! I like it. Is it unvarnished?

I use Odie's oil on most of my projects, including this one. I like the ease of application and the way it pulls out the grain of woods

Looks great! I really like the way the drawer pulls look against the color and figure of the wood.

may just be the angle of the photo but it looks like the top is cupping?

I think it's an illusion caused by the live edge.
