They're addicted to the power. Plus it's not like they have other hobbies or actual relationships to turn to as the grim reaper starts knocking on their door.
Because they believe what they are doing is right and just (even if you or I disagree). There are shit ton of Zionist fundamentalists in Israel, and the demographics are only getting worse, as the fundamentalists are having more children then the more liberal and progressive Israelites.

Iirc, Ben-Gvir got a personal security army as a concession to delay these overhauls.
I'm assuming, if there's protests or riots like there were last time, he's going to use that army to duties suppress while they do this overhaul.
