The watchdog groups contend the actions Ellis admitted to — namely making false statements to foster suspicion of President Joe Biden’s victory — violated her oath as an attorney to uphold the law.

They also argue Ellis’ actions since pleading guilty prove she’s not yet accepted responsibility.

“At her allocution in Georgia, she attempted to cast her criminal conduct as a mere failure to conduct due diligence,” the groups write.

“These statements elide her more than a decade of experience as a barred attorney and fall far short of demonstrating the type of contrition that would warrant lesser discipline.”

Sucks to suck, I have no sympathy for someone who was complicit in an attempt to end our democracy, thanks for taking responsibility tho I guess.

I think she was the one with a cool laptop though? Idk something to consider. In my opinion it sounds like she should get away with a little bit of trying to end our democracy

Habba is the dildo with the gamer laptop. Same energy as Ellis though.

Jenna Ellis is the one Rudy sharted on and inked.

I just don't get how there's a guy who we know incited an auto coup attempt is on trial for like the 100th felony, his lawyer is being threatened to be disbarred, his former lawyer is fuckin Giuliani, who is a whole laundry list of hilarious trouble... And this dude is not only able to run for president, but he's like, doing ok in the race.

What the fuck.

Trump lawyers are just a special breed, aren't they?

The wax man, the kracken, this bitch, and now his current lawyer...

That latest scandal you just linked sickens me. It's absolutely abhorrent that someone would do that. Just fine people aren't they?

Does Ghoulliani still count? I mean technically not allowed to represent… but… you know. Probably still giving hot tips to Big Orangie.

I think so. I assume it's referring to all the joke about him melting in that one infamous photo.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 11 months ago

Ah. I like calling him ghoulliani. It kinda flies under the radar when talking to people. (Actually I know a couple of lawyers that may have started using it too. I don’t think they noticed. Or if the did nothing was ever said…)

I thought she was there because Donald Trump likes the bid ole tiddies. How shocked was I to find out she's also a criminal.

These statements elide her more than a decade of experience as a barred attorney

So she might become a different kind of "barred" attorney.

[–] [email protected] 7 points 11 months ago

Yeah I'll admit I had to read that sentence a couple times before it got through to me that "barred" meant she was admitted to the bar.

Also TIL elide = to strike out, abridge https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/elide

Did she release the kraken?

[–] [email protected] 7 points 11 months ago (1 children)

She was more like the Kraken's overly enthusiastic personal assistant / patsy.

Jenna Ellis should be disbarred

I'm pretty sure that was the cover story of an issue of "Well, Duh! Weekly" over 2 years ago..

[–] [email protected] 2 points 4 months ago

The legal challenges facing Trump lawyer Jenna Ellis, including calls for her disbarment, highlight the importance of accountability in the legal profession. Lawyers must uphold the highest ethical standards to maintain public trust. This situation also underscores the necessity of understanding and defending one's rights in complex legal scenarios. For students, knowing about UCLA Title 9 is crucial as it ensures protection against discrimination and misconduct on campus. Having access to resources like Title IX Defense Lawyers can be vital in safeguarding one's future. It's a reminder that legal integrity and the right to a fair defense are fundamental in any justice system.
