Since when do you need any form of ID to vote? I can’t think of a single time I have had to, even when I had to file a provisional ballot because my name wasn’t in the ledger for some reason.

This was my first time having to provide it in NC. And for a kicker, NC is literally set up to support digital drivers' licenses and state-issued ID's, but won't start until December this year.

It's all tools in a shitty toolbox to suppress as many voters as they can. God forbid we have actual democracy in this country.

Depends on where you live. I've had to show my id several times. Republicans could attempt to hide what they're doing if they gave reasonable time-frames for people to get IDs. Instead, they don't give a shit how obvious it is. Make a new rule that goes into effect exactly on election day for all they care. As long as they tip the odds in their favor, it couldn't matter less to them what they have to do.

This is actually something that will probably piss off a lot of New Hampshire residents, actually. They generally vote Republican for stupid libertarian reasons, but they also REALLY do not like the Feds intervening in their shit, and this is that.

Studying to be barmaid or bartender has its advantages when it comes to casting your vote in the USA ... /s

It was nearly unanimous. Maybe it’s not so bad.

Legal and ethical are not always the same thing.

I’m just saying, all but 1 of the democrat appointed justices agreed with the Republican appointed justices.

Headlines are provocative, the details of the case are always more complicated and nuanced. If it were 6-3 or 5-4, I would be less forgiving. But when it’s 9-1, I will be more forgiving.
