Always but super cheap vodka because, well, it's vodka. Surely the difference can't be significant. Anyway I bought some Beluga and wow, I'm not repulsed by this. It's actually pretty smooth and the flavor isn't like splashing acetone in my face. What a revalation.

It's actually kind of pleasant

I totally get people not drinking alcohol cause its bad for you (for various reasons) but I will always be of the opinion that alcoholic drinks can just be super tasty.

Yeah I'm a simple woman, but I think "Miller Lite" actually tastes nice.

The concept of drinking alcohol to get drunk is a foreign one to me.

I enjoy a drink now and then, but I only really drink 2–3 times a month at most. Usually just a beer or two or a glass of wine.

I like getting a little buzz going but I honestly can't remember the last time I was actually drunk. It's probably been over a decade lol.

I enjoy drinking but im aware im a casual in many respects whent it comes to it.

the worst hangovers ive ever had are from alcohols that taste good and go down easy, you just keep drinking

From my experience as a now mostly sober alcoholic (I'll get myself a six pack maybe once a month now), it is often the sugar in the drinks that both makes it go down easy and makes the hangover hell. Back in the bad old days I could put down a 750 of Jack on a night and still manage to get up and make it to work at 430 the next morning for my McDonald's prep shift. The woman I dated at the time sometimes would make me drinks instead, and when she did I would feel like absolute death the next day.

Now am mid 30s and the last 6 pack I drank had me feeling anxious and gross for two whole days. It's not worth it anymore.

Only time alcohol has tasted good to me is when the taste of the alcohol is completely masked.

I mean depending on what you mean that is a lot of cocktails that would fall under that category. Or stuff like Hugo , Eggnog etc. EDIT Frankly lots of alcoholic beverages dont just taste like high percentage alcohol .

Then the thing that makes the drink taste good is the dilution of alcohol and it would taste better with none

I have had better vodka. I am aware it is smoother and tastes better. But I am not trying to enjoy drinking, I am trying to get through another week of this godforsaken life. Thus, I will drink the cheap vodka, MD20/20, and if I'm feeling fancy, a giant margarita from a local mexican restaurant.

Hard disagree. Now CHEAP vodkas (the ones in plastic jugs) taste like industrial grade solvents, but there is very little difference between mid-grade (Stoli, Absolut) and premium except for price and fanciness of the bottle.

Admittedly I jumped from industrial grade solvents to what the internet said was good russian vodka. The difference is substantial but I woudln't be shocked if I over paid by a bit lol.

I had aged tequila in Mexico and that was next level good. no shitty taste, it was straight plant nectar and delicious af I could not believe how smooth and delicious it was. 17 yr old and 22 yr old I think.

    seriously it was glorious.

Alcohol is bad for you. It should taste bad. I like drinking moonshine forn that reason. I get china's own red star baijiou. It tastes bad, also it is bad. It is strong enough you don't need to drink much thougg

i've drank some questionable shit but red star bailjiu is the stuff that was gonna kill me i think. it tasted like animal feed and jet fuel and was completely unmixable in any cocktail i could think to make. i have no idea how tf i was supposed to drink that stuff

Ming river baiju (recommended by chinese netizens on red note!) tasted like cough syrup and I will never recover from it tbh. Can't recommend avoiding it enough. So many people enjoy baiju that it has to be good but I don't get the appeal.

Putting {二锅头|èr guō tóu} in a hip flask to force yourself to take smaller sips of it so as to not get too drunk too quickly in the park or at your friend's kid's christening or working as a line cook or watching Avatar: The Way of Water in a cinema. Real professional alcoholic hours

CW: alcohol abuseAdmittedly I have been down bad enough (we don't talk about those times) and it does not taste like hand sanitizer at all. Cheap vodka taste like how hand sanitizer smells but the hand sanitizer has a bitterant and taste nothing like how it smells.

Dont drink hand sanitizer. Literally just shoplift mouthwash if you are down that bad. Hand sanitizer is like...so bad for you to injest.

I will never be that down bad again if I can help it. A lot of development has happened since that time, thankfully. I'm a lot better and have a mostly healthy relationship with mind altering substances in general (if you don't count coffee lol)

Just dropped $42 for a handle of absolut today. The days of $17 popov are finally behind me. A buddy of mine had so many popov bottles under his bed, we coulda/shoulda made a raft out of them

Good vodka that doesnt break the bank. If you chill it first it basically has no flavour at all
