We happily share our space and resources with our spider comrades! (we're Arachno-Communists)

House spiders are pretty predictable, generally stay in their lane

Flies are all round bastards, determined to ruin any situation they can

    I'm allied with the spiders

The amount of spider love here is so refreshing. Gives me hope for humanity. I love my arachnid roomies. Except for you, Mr. Brown Recluse. I'm so sorry, but you gotta go. We're just not that compatible.

I love them too but I have a 12lb doggo and a widow came in my side door the other day and I killed it without question and for better or worse went nuclear with the bug spray.

Generally I like bugs and I have a bug net so I can catch and release instead of killing.

But when it comes to the safety of my pup I will not think twice.

I completely understand. I don't get too many widows, but I try to relocate them instead of going scorched earth on them. They're fairly slow and easy to catch. Those recluses are quick as fuck and, well, usually not as fast as a shoe or flyswatter.

They are incredibly welcome guests in my home. Their food, mosquitoes and flies, are not.

I have usually 8 or 9 orb weavers around the house during the warmer seasons. They're amazingly beautiful creatures. Even if they build over one of the outside doors, I just use another until they move. Don't want to screw up their webs.

I really want to send this to my arachnophobic friend…

    …alas I shall refrain.

I have no issue with spiders, but now that a small lizard took residence somewhere in the house there's almost none left. And also no other insects as well.

Arachnids welcome. I'll even give them their own house.

They are welcome on my home. I recently learned not to put them back outside. Instead, I only rescue them from my tub because they can't get grip.

  • It was 110 degrees Fudge today. I would kill (a large pie) for cold right now.

I got orb weavers, I catch and release until it’s about 30-degrees F. After that I let them chill in whatever corner they’re in, but they usually die because they’re supposed to be hibernating.
