Good time to get a bidet folks

A bidet and stack of handkerchief for drying. Lint free and water washed is 1000x better than dry paper wiping "peanut butter" off

I love my bidet. I upgraded to one with warm water and a dryer. Massive quality of life improvement for a relatively low cost per use.

Yup. My first one was just an analog dial that split the intake water. I was renting a town home and couldn't put in a GFCI outlet close enough to the toilet.

Let me tell you, it definitely woke me up in the morning.

I started with a fancy electric one. A power surge broke something and it heated up to the point where it was extremely hot to the touch. The company wouldn't warranty it because I had it for barely over a year.

I went with non powered one next and the difference is unnoticeable.

Not only an option. Extremely cheap too. Like $20-$50. I'm considering an electric one, but mainly because of the dryer. The cold water doesn't bother me at all. Though, I'm sure once I had heated I probably wouldn't want to go back to unheated.

I must say, You guys are making me seriously consider a bidet since the thing that stopped me the most was the difficulty of hooking it up to warm water.

Believe it or not, yes. I have quite cold water in my cold water lines, especially during the Swedish winter, and have no trouble using my bidet year round.

You just don't have that much temperature sensation there.

My testicles are very close to my bum and I know from experience in swimming pools that they are quite sensitive to cold water, thank you very much.

You'd be aiming the bidet way off-target, if that's the worry.

I'd be aiming blind, and as I get older I find my balls have a knack for finding the water as it is.

I had a heated one for awhile but I've stuck with the simple cold water ones. It was a bit of a shock at first but I don't even notice now. I've been using them for like 15 years, I'm on my fourth now.

The average American uses 141 rolls of toilet paper per year

That's a role every two and a half days.

And they still had to normalize skidmarks.

    Americans are disgusting people.

We use one roll every 3-4 months. Bidet for the win!

Toilet paper again? Didn't we realize last time the TP is a low value, high volume commodity and is always made domestically since it would be unreasonable to import?

The fact that bidets aren't standard in the US is shameful, disgusting, and a travesty. 🤢
