It's funny, my kids much prefer the AA baseball games over the indoor, air conditioned major league ones.

And it's a whole lot more affordable: we can get into the park for about $30.

My work is hosting an employee event at a MLB game. I don’t care about baseball at all, so I was understandably pissed after the MLB and Ticketmaster apps thoroughly violated my privacy and made me give every bit of my information up, couldn’t even use a burner email because my work helpfully gave them my real one. Parking is apparently a nightmare so they suggested getting a 90 minute bus chain there.

Anyway it turns out we can’t even see the game. It’s some sort of little patio restaurant just outside the stadium that shows the game on TVs. I’m pissed.

Society is just returning to the days when stadiums of oligarchs cheered as the poor fought each other to the death for their entertainment. At least the players make bank, though. Not a bad deal if you can somehow avoid the CTE.

They start high and then get cheaper. You are basically paying to reserve the seat. The price will fall until it hits someone's price range.

It you wanted to wait until the game starts you can buy significantly cheaper tickets. But if you want a certain designated seat and to get there early then you have to pay for that.

Not saying it's a good way to do it. But this does give the person that's willing to pay more the rights to the seat vs something like a first come first serve system. In those, the scalpers buy them up and resale. Harder to scalp the overpriced tickets because the scalpers have to continuously follow the price and gamble, not just buy them for their "lowest price" at a certain time.

They used to be one of the cheapest before Dan Campbell's revolution, I went to a few matches when they were cheap, that's when I realized that I prefer to watch NFL games on the TV. Hockey, NBA and soccer are great live, but NFL you spend more time looking at the giant screen to see the details of each play

In contrast, center field tickets for the worst teams in the league this year for the same price as the lions worst seats

Also the worst seats for this game were going for $40

Depends on the team. Also, the 10$ tickets become 30$ with fees.

Lots of good sports, even American football. It's fun to play.

But no sport is worth paying money to watch.

i tried watching it a few times, it never appeals to me, and im not in that demographic that would watch it anyways. but everyone around me, at work talks about it, only the men though.
