Thanks to the drought, these black-and-white beauties are struggling to catch worms in the rock-hard earth. But there’s still good foraging on well-watered fairways and greens

Won't somebody please think of the rich white people! How will they cope without their golf!

Because it's class warfare and badgers are on the side of the working class 🦡✊

Good. Golf is a sport for rich twats that uses way too much mains drinking water

Wrong badger? You might mean the Honey badger?

[-] Lodespawn@aussie.zone 3 points 1 day ago

Honey badgers are indestructible, regular badgers are vicious little murder machines that spread bovine tuberculosis

Is there much difference between the North American and English badgers?

I used to play a game with North American badgers.

Badger tag, first carry a baseball bat then find a badger. Badgers are aggressive enough that they will chase you, but if you spin around and scream while waving the bat, the badger will turn and run, and you can chase it. The badger will then realize that it has teeth and claws and an attitude problem, and it will turn around and start chasing you again.

Keep this up as long as you want, or until you have to hit it with the bat so you can really run away.

English badgers are a protected species with huge fines for messing with either their habitat or them, regardless of how much tuberculosis they give your cows by randomly biting them.

"Because fuck you, that's why" - badgers

[-] 5oap10116@lemmy.world 6 points 1 day ago

Play disc golf instead. Courses are generally already mininally maintained by parks departments as walking/hiking trails.
