I'm finally on the journey of buying my music, with completely stopping the use of streaming services. Ive seen this app being recommended as a cool music player and decided to try it out. I never had the original iPod Classic, but an IPod Touch, so I would assume thisll be the closest I can get to experience that. Works immediately as soon I put my music on my SD card. ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜

Just resurrected my classic with parts from this site, but they also have new builds.

It tickled my nostalgia enormously when I tried it, but it takes tens of minutes to initially index the amount of files that Auxio handles in tens of seconds on every start and then any time the app starts from a state of not being in memory, it still pisses away a minute of my time starting up doing ???

I'd love to use it for real, but it's not practical. The click wheel emulation is adequate, surprisingly.

Unless it can somehow manifest the physical buttons into existence, I don't see the point.

It's just mostly aesthetics but youncan get the buttons to provide feedback even though it's digital

Haptics actually made it somewhat satisfying when I tried last. But app was buggy unfortunately

This app wouldnt work for shit on lineage, I only wanted to try it out to see what is was like in terms of library management.

I ended up using Poweramp after trying every music player I could find and Poweramp was the only one that seemed to actually handle a library in the manner I wanted.

Spiritbox are decent though

The phone I have is basically Lineage in disguise (e/OS). I haven't noticed anything to crazy.

basically Lineage in disguise (e/OS)

Not really. Forked from LOS/AOSP, but it comes with microG ootb and adds a few more tweaks that - iirc - replace some Google services with their own.

This, and the fact that it doesn't work on LOS proper, makes me think that the app discussed here relies on such servcies. Needlessly.

I'm still learning all the technical jargon, but with this particular app.; I downloaded it from Droid-ify. I basically disabled anything related to MicroG, to really try and not use anything google (that also includes MicroG). (I don't have any apps on here that uses the Google PlayStore) Unless in some way it's still using Google, casue with Lineage OS and its ability to have MicroG (if you choose to).

Oh. Weird. It wouldn't even load for me on my device.
