There are many reasons, including but not limited to taste, falling for neopuritarian propaganda, getting disgusted by the western loli community (they used to be awful before 2020), etc.

Still have issues years later after a spammer* joined a chat I was in and spammed CP. I barely saw a glimpse of a baby and the rest that I won't describe, but it was around the time my sister had her first son, my nephew, and I couldn't do anything for months because every time I would start feeling aroused that image would flashback in my mind and I would feel utterly disgusted at everything and myself. I'm still getting intrusive thoughts every now and then when I'm trying to have some me time that make me lose the desire to continue, but I'm slowly getting better
Also same reason I refuse to have or moderate any NSFW first community.
I know very well what I would have to see, and I'm just not made of tough stuff.

There is exactly one. One. Discord server that I use an alt on for specific fetish stuff. Everything else I get from the open net. But alas even that cannot be safe.

That was my original reason for leaving 4chan back in the 2010s. B/ would get cp posted a lot all the time. Was just once in a while at first then more frequently where I was seeing it every time I got on.
I reported it but I was disturbed seeing it. It's sick shit.
Wasn't worth the entertainment from the rest of the posts.
4chan worked almost like a chat room.( For those unfamiliar.) Haven't been on 4chan in literally a decade so maybe it's all different now. Dunno.
I like to make anonymous reports when I see things like that. Even the ambiguous stuff, it's good that law enforcement has a reason to vet communities from time to time.
I'll never understand people that use social media sites or chat servers for porn, other than trying to circumvent blocks and age checks.
