Thrift stores. Unless I'm shopping for undies or something super specific I thrift all of my clothes.

Home to the "Fit of the day" and "Fit check Friday"
I used to thrift a ton but all of the shops in my town suuuuck. I should make a quest out of driving around the state to find clothes. I'm also like a size 16/36 now too and usually there will only be 3 pieces of clothing in that size range lol
All the thrift stores in my metro have just become dumping grounds for the shit that the vintage stores can't markup
Yeah, I think the depop resellers and vintage shops have definitely eaten into anything wearable lol it sucks. Like I can't even find a plain Hanes pullover sweater and if I do it's probably 15 dollars or more. One chain thrift shop near me has been known to mark up some of their stuff above retail. It's such a scam
Yea. When I go thrift ing I know that I'm gonna sped all day at 6 or 7 different ones to find stuff I like and that fits.
Thrift stores never have anything in my size. XL and below, sure. 2XL, rarely. 3XL, nope.
DXL if in person, otherwise everything online
I can't even find hats and shoes big enough to fit me
Oof that must be hard! Having to slowly go the online route more and more is so frustrating. I'm super particular about the fit of things and it's such a crapshoot when you haven't been able to try it on. I do not have the wearwithal to return stuff either lol
I have no style because the opportunity was denied to me because fatties can go fuck ourselves I guess
Yeah:/ I hate seeing something I like, especially pants and having it top out at size 32 or something. And usually, once.you get it the plus sizes they end up charging MORE for the same style. It's bullshit
They charge more for the same style because they require more materials and they usually manufacture smaller runs of the bigger sizes due to a smaller market
Once again el problemo es el capitalismo
Honestly? Skate brands. They already make baggy stuff and have massive size ranges and go on sale all the time, although buying in person might be a pain in the ass sometimes.
I mostly buy stuff online and especially dickies stuff cuz it’s cheap and somewhat durable.
I used to looooove Dickies clothes back in my warped tour era...some of it looks real nice now too I should get back into them
I mostly buy Carhartt/Dickies/Wrangler work wear. Flannel shirts, insulated hoodies, triple stitched carpenters pants. I have no sense of fashion, but they hide my fat and are durable, cheap and comfortable. Walmart and tractor supply carry them in big sizes.
seconding work wear. i'm a larger person and work wear always fits good and without looking kinda awkward on a larger body size. walmart pants are super underrated too.
