I'm legitimately intrigued as to who implements cyberpunk first: Sovereign Chaebol of Samsung or the United States of FAANG.

Samsung probably already has more political power than actual Sovereign Military Order of Malta, which holds diplomatic relations with 115 states. And, of course, more than less important microstates, too.

Sorry. I'm contracted to fight for Disney because my wife bought Disney+ for Bluey.

I am out of the loop here, what is this?

[-] Neverclear@lemmy.dbzer0.com 16 points 17 hours ago

Sorry, you'll have to agree to the terms and conditions first.

South Korea - country

WW3 - currently only hypothetical war, the third one of world scale

Samsung terms and conditions: the terms and conditions Samsung wants people to sign in order for the people to use Samsung services, the company is based in South Korea

There's no fucking loop here, it's common knowledge with little fact one may deduce from the meme.

Yes, but does Samsung T&C actually have fighting for South Korea in case of a war?

[-] Spiral3839@lemmy.world 6 points 12 hours ago

It's just a joke on how people don't read the T&C and the stuff in them getting more and more draconian.

[-] Cypher@aussie.zone 3 points 12 hours ago

The fact you’re probably allowed to vote is honestly appalling

[-] ComradePenguin@lemmy.ml 1 points 11 hours ago

Seriously? Because I asked if something really surprising is true, in a world where insane things happens all the time? Before the current US administration I would have not felt the need to ask at all. Now fact checking it is the default mode of operation. Absurd things happen almost everyday now.

I am also tired as hell, due to very little sleep on a daily basis as a result of just being a father.

I've actually managed not to agree with their new privacy policy for over a year now.

It keeps popping up on me. I kill the notification and don't accept, and it pops up a few days later.

[-] Chaotic_Altruist@lemmy.zip 1 points 3 hours ago

They still force updates, add whatever AI they want without asking, and collect data. They don't care if you agree or not, they do the same things without consequence regardless.

[-] ChickenLadyLovesLife@lemmy.world 2 points 11 hours ago

I assume ignoring it for long enough is tantamount (in their eyes) to accepting it. And then they just issue new terms and conditions a few days later.

[-] starman2112@sh.itjust.works 3 points 16 hours ago

When the class action lawsuit comes up, there will be dozens of us who didn't accept a forced abitration clause

[-] Kolanaki@pawb.social 2 points 18 hours ago

Samsung has tits and cunny?

[-] dream_weasel@sh.itjust.works 3 points 12 hours ago

I... Hmm. I think companies might be treating you differently than they are treating me.

[-] plyth@feddit.org 16 points 1 day ago

Look deeper into the Korean fine print. You may be surprised for whom you will fight.

[-] aeiou@piefed.social 6 points 1 day ago

I swear they add a new one every three weeks

[-] tyranny@crazypeople.online 2 points 1 day ago
