Clown show. Three ring circus. I hope Hearn sues the fuck out of…somebody.

Government lawyers said in a 20-page court filing that additional documents provided by the Interior Department since the indictment of David Hearn show that the damage was the result of a botched installation by a contractor as well as “the rush to complete the project prior to events associated with the America 250 celebration in the weeks surrounding Independence Day 2026.” In addition, a recent visual inspection revealed damage throughout the pool, including in the middle — where prosecutors say a vandal would not likely attempt to peel the lining.

”The witness’s testimony established that the pool had substantial preexisting damage requiring repair before any alleged conduct by Mr. Hearn,” his lawyers wrote. “According to the witness, the pool was leaking more than one million gallons of water per week; its expansion joints had exceeded their service life; and the liner already contained a rip.”

The fact they ended up netting an Olympian of all people, and one who had previously canoed in the pond, shows how stupid this whole thing was. We all knew this would be the outcome. Trump wasted tax payer dollars, skipped over proven government contract bidding processes, and ended up with shit for a result. His ballroom and arch will end no differently.

Republicans are wasting more taxpayer dollars than ever before! Look at the waste of time this witch hunt for Fauci is. The whole waste of obstructing justice for the Epstein victims is another obvious example. We're paying McConnell's salary while he's unable to vote in the Senate. They keep funding an unending illegal war in Iran. Republicans misuse public funds and they just don't stop!

Don't forget also driving an armored mortorcade across it before the sealant had cured, lol! Even if the job had been done properly with competent contractors, that probably would have fucked it up.

Honestly if I were the contractor I would sue Trump and the administration since their motorcade stunt damaging the liner is now giving their company worldwide coverage on being incompetent contractors.

I mean, they probably are, but I would still sue to at least minimize the damage.

Nobody believed the Olympian damaged the pool. Headlines about the pool falling apart after trumps botched work were circulating for weeks before the Olympian came on the scene. The trump administration is trying to instill a chilling effect that trump cannot be questioned or you will be prosecuted, even if its on false charges. The trump administration knows the charges won't still. They just want to cost regular Americans money and time they don't have as punishment for making trump look bad.

They talk a good game, and it frightens people, except every time they try this bullshit, they lose in humiliating fashion. They are virtuosically incompetent, and they are ALWAYS bluffing.

We need to stop hearing them, and start jeering them.

Only after great costs were incurred by the would-be defendants and not at all by the person or people that matter.

If Trump is so heavily involved in these prosecutions then perhaps one should argue that he himself is liable for their failures and should forfeit the cost that his defendants incur on his behalf.

There were others charged too, right? Did they drop those? I hate how the media just pick one person to update us on and ignore others in the same situation.

    https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/trump-administration-drops-reflecting-pool-case-blaming-damage-botched-rcna590303

There were three other misdemeanor cases, at least one of which has been dropped so far.

A spokesperson for Pirro said the filing spoke for itself. Her office also moved to dismiss at least one of the other three misdemeanor cases that had been brought in connection with the Reflecting Pool.

In other news, this is a smokescreen. Specifically for Trump and many other powerful elites fucked kids on a CIA/mossad linked pedophile island.

When is Trump going to be declared a litigious litigant, and prohibited from filing lawsuits?

If they prosecuted someone in a canoe for damage to the reflecting pool this could set a precedent for prosecuting anyone for changes to the pool, including the hiring of a pool boy to refurbish it.

It belongs to us all. So does the white house.

I think it's high time we remind these motherfuckers & it's best we do it in court. That's all they know besides money.

    I say bring it.
