"DEI bike lanes" anyone unironically saying this should throw themselves into an active volcano for the benefit of humanity
It’s insane how they can just say this stuff and don’t simply get laughed at by everyone who has any say over it.
Yes they are insane! Like literally!
Being poor is dei now lmao
I’d feel bad.
For the volcano.
What a limp headline. "advocates say". No. Data says.
You have to both sides those with the data and credentials to speak with authority on a subject, and idiots. No idea why, but it's very important that idiots get to spout their insane brain farts.
Data say
I ain't no prescriptivist and "data say" sounds wrong. I know data is technically plural but I adhere to vibes based grammar
It sounds wrong because enough dumb people say it wrong.
They know this. They want this. People who feel less safe are more stressed out, they make worse choices, they feel less in control of their lives, they become more willing to hand control over to an authoritarian or less able to keep up with what authoritarians are doing. Socially impoverishing the population is policy because it creates the an environment that can be more easily taken advantage of. Almost all of their choices follow this pattern.
The administration also recently removed bike lanes and speed cameras from the Federal Highway Administration’s list of proven safety countermeasures.
As in it's not longer proven safe? Didn't know research results came with an expiration date.
This will make traffic worse. This harms even the braindead morons who are cheering for this.
the gas wasted in traffic not going anywhere is gas that must be replaced, and the fuckwits will keep cheering as they pony-up for another $100 fill-up .
I know, I know, bicycle lanes are spreading LGBTQ+ and are communists. Right?
potentially used by the poor and/or progressives more frequently than by dumb af maga cult members, so automatically becomes 'dei'
Ppl gotta chill using that acronym.. like it’s not a social media post and plus it doesn’t even have a hashtag..
they mean make it more safe for cars. they don't care about bikes. the auto manufacturers lobbyed hard to make laws and public sentiment favor the motorist.
It's not more safe for cars, though. Maybe safer for Big Oil.
