I used Startpage for a couple of years. They started pissing me off, so I switched to the Duck.
I just started using Startpage this week. What about it pisses you off? I ask because I've been trying to degoogle my android as best as I can and am always open to suggestions

duckduckgo isn't private anymore and they started tailoring results a few years ago
nothing is truly private, it's about trade off and risk management. sometimes hopping on proton vpn and looking up yuri on google images is sufficient, but maybe that's what I tell myself in the absense of greater knowledge.
I'm curious though, what do you think of how they started tailoring results for some queries? That's something they swore to never do when they started

I wasn't aware they made an alternative front end to youtube, that might be something I'd use if it works
if youre using the duck browser just dont let it open the youtube app for playing youtube vids.
deeply suppresses any chance of ads on devices. tvs still only play youtube vids on youtube. unless you cast.
Google now forced to share search index with competitor in EU. Hopefully some other company make better search result, google not seem to want.
I've given up and I use edge. It works. If i want something that doesn't track me, i fire up Tor.
At least work edge gives me money. And that's nice. Getting those vouchers feels nice when you can turn it into guilt free hobby stuff
