The 2001 live action show was enjoyable too. The more recent amazon reboot wasn't bad either. Actually got two seasons and an arc.

I enjoyed more the recent one over the 2001. They both came out on Netflix recently.

The antenna were what sold the 2001 for me. That and Warburton. I don't know that I've ever seen anything with Warburton in it that I didn't like. But between him and those damn animatronic antenna. Even though he didn't have the proper cowl Etc it was still very enjoyable. The fox show was definitely a lot campier and low budget. But that sort of worked for it in a way. While they had a lot of star cameos throughout the short run. Just some of the basic scenarios and situations were hilarious. Like the tick fighting the Red Scare in an elevator while Jimmy Carter watched on. But then I'm also an older viewer so probably your mileage could vary.

Unfortunately edland didn't have the full rights to all the characters. So each show is really its own experience. But I think at least some Nostalgia puts the 2001 a little bit out ahead of the Amazon reboot. Even though I could easily recommend it.

TMNT, Batman TAS, and DuckTales (woo-oo!) for me! I used to set my alarm!

Edit: Admittedly, this was a few years earlier. By 1995, I was 16, and I had more interesting things to do, having just gotten my drivers license. Does anyone remember Q-Zar? also, paintball was all the craze at the time.

The 80s and 90s were a really fun time to grow up.

I'm so happy to see "Life with Louie" included in this meme. I loved that show as kid, but it seems like it's been lost amid nostalgia for better shows from the era. It was still pretty fuckin' good and deserves to be remembered, though.

Most of these weren't even Saturday morning shows for me; they were after school shows that aired during the weekdays.

Out of this list the only ones that were exclusive to Saturday were Bobby's World, Life with Louie, TMNT and The Tick.

USA Cartoon Express of the 80s and early 90s was the only reason to wake up on Saturday mornings.

🎶That's right... The answer to the riddle is cakes on the griddle! 🎶

Thats's from my favorite episode of Sabrina the Teenage Witch where Sabrina tries pancakes, but pancakes are crack to witches. I remember after watching it, I went on a pancake bender myself 😆

Shhh as long as mom stays asleep she can't know we're watching cartoons!

(Mom knows. Mom just wants to sleep in).

Fast forward 30 years and my kids are fine launching cartoons on Jellyfin but apparently wake up completely deaf, because my alarm clock all summer has been the 10-tone Teen Titans: Go interstitial at max volume.

Oh well. Could be worse shows. It is DC Comics longest-running animated show, after all.

And my kids circadian rhythm is on point. It's almost the exact same time every day...when the night begins to shine.

The '70s were way better. We got Looney Tunes and The Little Rascals.

I never saw most of the cartoons, because the shit startet at 6 am and as a child I loved seeping without having a schedule.
