Women significantly outnumbered men among respondents, the clinic said, suggesting they may be less enthusiastic about seeing their male colleagues with a forest of shin hair beside the photocopier.

Some men appear to believe that visible leg hair could make their colleagues uncomfortable, he said.

No, no, no. This is just straight up body shaming. Men have hair. Women have hair. People have hair. Absolutely no one should be saying "gross, it's rude of them not to shave". Same vein of dudes being grossed out by armpit or pubic hair. Not quite the same thing since there is more history of men controlling women body. The power dynamic and history just isn't the same, but that is no excuse for this dumbness.

Honestly kinda clickbait because this sort of thing shouldn't even be amplified.

There are Japanese cultural issues iirc that having body hair or body odor is a thing only for barbarians.

They're regarded as undesirable traits, so of course xenophobes will apply them to all gaijin.

So a clinic that does hair removal does a survey. More women than men respond. They respond "guys are totally asking about our services". This feels more like an ad for them and trying to make men feel like they can/should do this than actual, proper research.

I thought it was gonna be men harassing women over their leg hair... Not the women getting uncomfortable seeing the men's. 🫪
