They're too stupid to know what a socialist or communist is. So odds are they don't know what a fascist is, despite staring at one in the mirror every day.

Except that fascism is an ideology, not a religion. If you support an ideology, you are part of that ideology, but you can support a religion without being a member.
I would call veganism an ideology rather than a religion. Yet I can support vegans and their choices without being a vegan myself.
