"Trump imposing an extra 50% surcharge on Americans for products coming from Canada"

Fifty.

How is this different than the tariffs that were struck down by the courts, resulting in a big "refund" that made for a massive payday for companies while not refunding a single cent to the consumer that had to burden the cost through increased prices?

The difference is a rapist doesn’t take no for an answer.

They already succeeded in using the tariffs to steal billions of dollars from the people for their cronies. What possible reason could they have to stop now, instead of repeating the theft and stealing billions more?

He’s using a different law to do it this time, section 338 of the Tariff Act of 1930. This section hasn’t been used since shortly after the law passed. It’s a different law, so it’s not covered by the previous ruling.

Another reason to vote out Republicans in the US Senate and House. R Senators are the enablers that make terrible decisions like these that hurt American taxpayers happen. If they would even publicly speak out against the Donvict that they would vote to have Trumpepstein removed, then they could then justly say it's just the donOLD's fault and make a case to hold them blameless. But since they don't, these disgusting decisions are stains on THEIR records. It's their Constitutional responsibility to check the Executive when he goes out of line. Punish them in November and vote Blue!

It may hurt the citizens but its very lucrative for companies and share holders: Increase prices due to tariffs -> tariffs get struck down -> get refund from the government without giving it back to customers. It's a good time to be rich in the US.
