Fun fact: vocalist Dieter Meier was already a millionaire when he was at university, before joining the band (which was a trio with him, before Carlos Perón left). Aside from music, investment, gambling, and directing films and music videos, he also did some conceptual and performance art, with my favorite tidbit from that part of his career being:
In 1972 as part of Documenta 5 art exhibition, Meier installed a commemorative plaque at the railway station in Kassel (Germany) which read: "On 23 March 1994, from 3 to 4 pm, Dieter Meier will stand on this plaque". He honored the promise 22 years later.
This was seven years before Yello, BTW.
Also, Meier wrote a whole bunch of lyrics for this song, but Blank said it was too much and wanted just 'oh yeah' throughout, which Meier considered too dumb. That's why there's still a bit of lyrics like "the moon, beautiful".
