Honestly it was more because they complained about how hard it was to raise us constantly. Clearly it was a terrible idea so why would I do it?
If your mum asks about grandchildren, just tell her you sprayed them on some tissues last night and flushed them down the toilet. Alternatively, tell her your boyfriend shot them down your throat.
She will quickly learn not to talk about grandchildren!!
Seems like a bit of an overreaction response to me, but I guess you know what your relationship is like with your mother and you do you.

ye ye ye, it was the refusal of an unreasonable request that made me not have kids. Not the inability to pay for basic things like rent.
