So I take pieces of murrine (glass rods with patterns in them) and position them in a trio shape, then I fire them to about 1450F so they round out and fuse together. Then I let them cool (they go through an annealing phase too but that's just hanging out at 900 for an hour) and attach a bail (the silver loop) to them.
