people love making shit like this the problem of non-binary people who are assumed to be men and trans women who are assumed to be men instead of just kicking people who behave badly by pushing and shoving from the event. it really has played into the division that transphobes are trying to sow.

oh my god if educating transphobes was our job we'd never have time to do anything else

i love love love origins and da2, i have da2 tattoos, but i don't know if I'd really recommend them. dai is overambitious and less well written than the other 2. I would give them all a shot but not feel bad about bouncing off the combat and graphics of any of them.

lol. lmao

I haven't seen official sourcing on it yet but apparently a QAnon guy got suspended for posting notoriously bad child sexual abuse materials and then Musk reinstated the account. I'm frankly afraid to look it up because I don't want to see the materials. https://twitter.com/faineg/status/1684329030500098048?t=747mnnSVncGD8OBd0Vhddg&s=19

Hey, remember when the author of this piece falsely accused a political opponent of sexual violence in an attempt to discredit him? I remember!

Yeah, I'm @[email protected]. I'll probably move off that instance soon though, I got a bunch of trolls recently.

So I take pieces of murrine (glass rods with patterns in them) and position them in a trio shape, then I fire them to about 1450F so they round out and fuse together. Then I let them cool (they go through an annealing phase too but that's just hanging out at 900 for an hour) and attach a bail (the silver loop) to them.

I had a really difficult weekend and didn't sleep much last night, but I did sell a piece of jewelry that I'm really proud of yesterday, so that's a bright spot.

Hey beehaw. I'm here after years of being on Twitter, and I know a lot of y'all are on Lemmy/the fediverse after spending a lot of time on there or reddit.

I'm wondering: does anyone have any tips for coping with the lack of ambient awareness of what's going on in the world after you lose your main information source? I used to get a vague idea of what was going on on Twitter, with on the ground reports on things like protests from people who were there. Now that is, for the most part, gone.

I'm both looking for tips on dealing with having less information-- the fact is that I don't need to know as much as I did-- and help with finding emotionally healthy ways to keep up with news, some of the time. I'm also happy to hear about other people's experiences with this kind of thing happening in the past; I'm sure some of y'all have been through this before.

I go to YA when I don't want to be challenged. I love The Old Kingdom by Garth Nix in particular.

I don't think pictures are back yet but here's my fused glass collection!

When I was a kid I thought the quarter machines at the laundromat literally transmuted your dollar bills into quarters. What's something silly you believed as a kid?

I'm a jeweler focusing on glass and so I spend a lot of time doodling around while my kiln runs. It's really nice to work for myself but knowing my work relies on my ability to market it is pretty stressful.

i think you should just figure out how to present yourself in a way that brings you joy without second-guessing if you are doing it because of internalized misogyny. go toward what pulls you. it's always okay to change your mind.

I really like playing worldbuilding games! I'm going to try The Ground Itself soon but I also play a lot of The Quiet Year. I was wondering if y'all have ones you like a lot that you'd like to share!
