I think something folks don't realize about the flock situation is that the towns and cities paying flock for this data do not own the data. Like, if Flock starts using it in a way they don't like, they let them do it.

I think this is a situation that ultimately falls victim to vigilante justice. They're too easy to defeat.

… everyone then walks out to the parking lot and presents their case in front of the Flock camera….

Seriously though, seems like a good solution is to make a bunch of hangers with placards in them and place them over the cameras. It’s not defacing anything, and could be considered right of speech when other avenues of communication are illegally removed.

  5. No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.
