I have literally never had that site work as intended. The search never completes and the video either stutters or has to be restarted a half dozen times before it starts.

YouTube is ass but I've yet to see anything about Piped that demonstrates how it's any better.

You're on dbzer0, so just use their Tesseract UI. It can transparently re-write YouTube links to Invidious. Unfortunately, Piped support (as a frontend) was removed several versions back since it had too many playback issues and poor performance.
