Yeah.

He can't walk without getting super winded. It's scary because right before mom died she was the same way, walking winded her. So fingers crossed it's nothing major.

Helped him pack a bag just now, it's his lungs, they think at least from his doc's office. They called ahead to the er for him, he drove himself down there so he doesn't have to deal with an ambulance. I told him to take the ambulance but he insisted on driving, whatever. Anyway I told him to call me when things settle down and he knows what's up.

edit: called him, they're waiting on test they're running on him, so no word yet what it is.

Hey, I'm so sorry. It could be bronchitis that an antibiotic can help. Hopefully nothing worse.

Ugh comrade I'm so sorry. I hope it's something routine. Glad he's at least getting medical care. Wishing you the best, comrade

i hope it's nothing bad. it does sound similar to the COPD my grandpa had though which he eventually succumbed to.

Same, trying not to catastrophize.

You're doing well, at least online. The thing with COPD (and cancer treatments, for that matter) is that it puts people at higher risk for bronchitis, and if that's not promptly treated, it can turn into pneumonia. Plenty of rest, fluids to help thin it unless the doctor recommends differently for other reasons, morning sunshine for vitamin D, oranges, lots of oranges. Fish oil too.

It's the therapy, it's helped me not always go to dark places when things go bad.
