Iirc he had a grand time there when he was running for president. It was a shame he kept missing the deadline to get on the ballot.

Seeing it in 360p gives it that quality of an old Adult Swim show.

That is some fucking quality. Daniels deadpanned perfectly.

This was fun to watch. I am going to have to try the sandwich made towards the end of the show.

Stewart/Colbert 2028. Let's elect people who actually understand policy and can string sentences together individually, and then expand to paragraphs.

I'd be fine with Colbert at the top of the ticket, but he hasn't yet testified before Congress.

Given recent events in USA politics, I'd suggest not judging a (potential) candidate only based on his performance on an entertainment show, which is mostly scripted, with a writer team and a prompter to read from.

Colbert would certainly do better than Trump, but it would be good to set the bar higher, see how the candidates act under pressure. For instance with a challenging debate or interviewer. It's more telling than a friendly and scripted TV format, where the question are easy and obvious.

This was so enjoyable. I haven't been watching the CBS late show. Was it this good?

Removing the crowds and production values actually makes it way better. He seems more genuine now too.
