How to better my wifi connection?

We have spectrum (I live in a house with three others)

We pay about $80 a month. I just built a pc and did a connection test, (connected to 5G wifi) which is attached to this post.

I did a test run on Fortnite. Ping was averaging in the 20s, slight lag from time to time.

To improve my WiFi on the PC and achieve good ping, should I:

  • get a new router and motem (the motem especially looks old)

  • disconnect any non-TVs from the 5G internet

  • change wifi completely (I don’t want to have to do this)

Thanks for le help

Try connecting your computer directly with a cable 9t at least test your Internet speed right next to the router. Whatever the result is the best you're going to get from your ISP.

Quality of Wi-Fi depends on so many factors (including how many devices are around, regardless of whether they're connected to your network specifically), and even in the best case scenario it's not going to come close to the stability, speed, and latency of an Ethernet cable.
