We’re so excited to share this with the world. First, this wouldn’t have been possible without so many people in the ZeldaRET community, GameCube / Wii decompilation community and beyond coming together to dedicate their talent to this. Huge thanks to all of them!

When we started the Twilight Princess decompilation project in August 2020, it was hard to imagine it would ever be finished, much less to see it used for a project like this. Years and years of effort have been poured into the decompilation by contributors all over the world, resulting in the largest decompilation project ever completed.

Starting in late February, we embarked on the journey to bring the finished decompilation project to more platforms. Along the way, we’ve worked with so many talented people and developed something that we’re really proud of.

Dusk is a labor of love by people who love Twilight Princess and reverse engineering. Happy (early) 20th birthday to Twilight Princess! Please enjoy Dusk, and look forward to future updates.

Hell yeah! The complete decompilation of Twilight Princess that enabled this port is an incredible feat in and of itself, and I look forward to seeing how this project progresses! I imagine there's still a lot of room for improvement, so while I might check it out for a few minutes I'm going to wait for it to mature a bit more before using it for a full playthrough (getting a ton of eyeballs on it will surely reveal things not found in testing), but I'm very excited to see how this develops.

Not my thing but I'm super happy it exists!

It offered to let me download it on iOS. That’s weird. I guess if you have a way to sideload. Builds for Windows, macOS, Linux, and Android as well. That’s how you do it.

Always wanted to try Twilight Princess

Oh that's cool! I just went straight to the build instructions and didn't look at what other platforms were available. I only booted it up to take a brief look but this port seems solid so far. I noticed some awkwardness with shader compilation like a little stuttering and models popping in, a little unfortunate but it wasn't too bad for me. Bloom seems to scale properly at higher resolutions unlike with Dolphin so that's a big step up in my book. All the cutscenes I saw worked fine in widescreen as well. If you give it a try I hope you enjoy it!
