I prefer to make my own by buying two cylinders of hydrogen gas and one cylinder of oxygen.

Come on, using pre-made oxygen is just lazy. Just make the oxygen yourself from a few neutrons, protons and electrons.

This guy, with the pre-made neutrons, protons and electrons.

Back in my day we only needed up-quarks and down-quarks and the electrons were free-range.

Ok, but please DO NOT EVER go down to pure energy. Last time I did this, my experiment exploded, now it takes a whole lotta space, complex atoms and life and all the shit along with more or less intelligence. I'd feel really bad to shut it all down now, so I let it just run on its own.

[-] FauxLiving@lemmy.world 6 points 1 week ago

God, that sounds annoying.

[-] filcuk@lemmy.zip 6 points 1 week ago

God I can't stand people gatekeeping oxygen. I'm sorry but not everyone has the time or energy to combine their oxygen. Pardon me for having work and living life.

For oxygen yeah, but hydrogen is easier to just buy.

If you wish to make ~~an apple pie~~ water from scratch, you must first invent the universe.

I feel like you’ll need more than just that, but I’m not a scientologist.

And even instant energy for free as well, besides the water

Good thinking

My mind is stretching itself smooth wondering what the powder is made of.

Dehydrated water

It’s got what waters crave.

well yes but on top of natrium cloride there are also considerable amounts of calsium, magnesium, carbonate and sulfate ions

My guess is that it is a disinfectant to purify water when boiling isn't an option.

I'm going to teach you a new word: joke.

[-] osanna@lemmy.vg 7 points 1 week ago

100% of people who drink dihydrogen monoxide will die. Ban it IMMEDIATELY!

Steven Wright wants his due (it's at the 2:45 mark if my link doesn't work). He did this joke decades ago {back in the '80s).
