Download Flashpoint and live forever!

[-] balderdash9@lemmy.zip 21 points 6 days ago

Was going to comment this myself. The library is immense and the nostalgia is real: https://flashpointarchive.org/faq

[-] Masamune@piefed.social 2 points 6 days ago

This looks cool. What are some of the best ones to check out?

[-] balderdash9@lemmy.zip 2 points 5 days ago

Lesbian spider queen of mars (retro arcade done right), Dead of Night (great zombie tower defense), fancy's pants saga, Papa's Pizzaria, Champions of Chaos

But here is a list of classics in a more digestible format: https://backloggd.com/u/robinnn/list/flashpoint-hall-of-fame/

today, I am instead playing Steam games for hours and wishing death would hurry up already.

[-] VerilyFemme@lemmy.blahaj.zone 27 points 6 days ago

FYI, you can use the Flashpoint Archive to find and play basically any Flash game or animation you can imagine. Have fun!

[-] jackal@feddit.uk 4 points 6 days ago

Oh yay they have all the original Joe Cartoons!

Now if only I could remember all the odd ones I had saved to disk...

[-] FE80@lemmy.world 3 points 5 days ago

LOOK AT MY MONKEY!

[-] DarrinBrunner@lemmy.world 26 points 6 days ago

I'm 60. Still trying to delude myself that this might, just, maybe, with the help of some soon-to-be invented drug, be "middle aged".

A sort-of "60 is the new 40" sort of pipe dream.

[-] Cruxifux@feddit.nl 13 points 6 days ago

Its funny because I’m 35 and read the singularity when I was in my 20’s and was like “wow I might never die!”

I look back at that now as foolish.

[-] Kalothar@lemmy.ca 2 points 6 days ago

I’m in the sameish boat, though I’m still kinda holding out for life extension stuff. More of a quality of life type of thing.

Just gotta not die naturally and also somehow gain access to cutting age tech, no big deal

It makes me really want to believe in the AI medical breakthrough promises that the AI investors are hoping will happen.

[-] Rhaedas@fedia.io 8 points 6 days ago

Don't Look Up.

Remember who escaped?

The good news is, remember what happened to them. Maybe there is karma somehow.

[-] chiliedogg@lemmy.world 1 points 5 days ago

I'm 42 and feel like it's the new 70 due to all the stress in my life and its toll on my mental and physical health.

[-] Heyting@lemmy.ml 1 points 5 days ago

You might be old enough that your blood will never be harvested for the life extension of billionaires.

[-] FosterMolasses@leminal.space 17 points 6 days ago

The era of "flash" is having a resurgence on itch.io

I don't remember the last time I played this many cool new indie games each day, and everytime I go back there's even more new stuff released. It's amazing. You can even support indie game designers directly as you witness the real time collapse of the commercial gaming industry as its swallowed up by its own hubris! (maybe that last part is just me)

[-] dragnucs@lemmy.ml 15 points 6 days ago

I've been looking for this movie, forgot its name. Then all of a sudden it makes surface.

What's this movie's name please?

Newgrounds took up too much of my highschool and university...

[-] Big_Boss_77@fedinsfw.app 14 points 6 days ago
[-] jaybone@lemmy.zip 1 points 6 days ago

Does this mean they would take down a post for being annoying or not interesting?

That's the "we don't care, good day" pile.

[-] Big_Boss_77@fedinsfw.app 3 points 6 days ago

No clue tbh... never used Facebook

[-] Katana314@lemmy.world 9 points 6 days ago

You can get some of the appeal of Flash games at Itch.io. Many people compile their little free games for Unity’s web player.

[-] ILikeBoobies@lemmy.ca 4 points 5 days ago

Actually free, rehostable, no ads or data harvesting.

[-] Tollana1234567@lemmy.today 4 points 6 days ago

i used to play flash bomberman alot while in hs.

[-] tacosanonymous@mander.xyz 6 points 6 days ago

It feels like I wrote this somehow.

I miss my little light cycle game.

[-] floquant@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 6 days ago

Download armagetronad!

[-] BeMoreCareful@lemmy.world 6 points 6 days ago

Why is this movie all over all of a sudden. Is it good?

[-] Somsphet@lemmy.zip 4 points 6 days ago

It has its moments

[-] Agent641@lemmy.world 3 points 6 days ago

It goes for like 3 hours.

[-] mlg@lemmy.world 1 points 5 days ago

Directors cut is defnitley worth a watch, but you'll probably only enjoy it if you have at least some context/interest in the history of Jerusalem or its crusades.

[-] kandoh@reddthat.com 2 points 6 days ago

The directors cut is, but it's becoming popular because the aesthetics are very popular among. Nouveau fascists

[-] HeyThisIsntTheYMCA@lemmy.world 1 points 6 days ago

you've never seen Bee Movie?

[-] Pacattack57@lemmy.world 4 points 6 days ago
