Good idea - especially during an energy crises he’s causing.

Remember when Congress was in charge of how money got spent?

Get ready for the price of electricity to jump

[-] silence7@slrpnk.net 24 points 2 days ago

The only real hedge against that is to install rooftop solar

[-] Crt_static@lemmy.world 9 points 1 day ago

Doesn't help people in apartments with electricity hitting $500/no in some seasons

"Just be a homeowner"

Frustrating to see the libertarian ideology of economic isolationism persist in an increasingly fascistic economy.

As though even home ownership spares you from artificially high home installation prices created by the Trump tarrifs

Some states moving to make that illegal, or making you pay the electric company for not being connected

[-] wonderingwanderer@sopuli.xyz 7 points 1 day ago

That's atrocious.

[-] Skyrmir@lemmy.world 7 points 2 days ago

Really pissing me off since I had hoped to have a few more years before financing a solar installation.

Hey now, the US managed negative fossil fuel prices just last March, thanks to overproduction

We could have cheap climate-positive energy sources if it wasn't for these fucks and their greed...

~~Trump Administration~~ The American Taxpayer will pay...

[-] bagsy@lemmy.world 9 points 1 day ago

total piece of shit. just an unlimited amount of disgusting bullshit from this creature.

This screws over the north east with less energy. Trump/GOP likes to cancel their projects then point that them for mismanagement. North east has to import energy, and boats from TX/LA count as imports. With Jones act shipping rates.

Fuck Off you backwards assholes.

I have an idea: why don't we all come up with the money to build a huge glass dome to put over the US so they fuck themselves and leave the rest of us alone? When their air becomes breathable again (say, in 100 years from now), we can remove it and let them be part of the planet again... if they are not a wasteland by then.

It makes perfect logical sense. The money comes from the tax payer and goes into the pockets of Trumps buddies.
