But can it be made to pat other things that aren't pillows? There may be as of yet unexplored avenues to this tech. Has anyone put a silicon membrane over the ~~stroking~~ patting component?
Now we're talking.
I like how they shot the commercial in the Dark Dimension to not make it obvious that in reality you would just use a ceiling lamp or a regular reading lamp to do all these things
And people aren't even dunking on it in the replies. Pathetic. https://x.com/aaronistan/status/2041909335220220252
They already got 3 deadbeats with this shit. ~~Lex Luthor~~ Jeff Bezos, the Anthropic CEO and Will I Am(LMAO)
I don't understand. Even in their ad it looks bad and can't do anything useful (and one of the "tasks" they show is having it move as a person tries to write/draw, which would be annoying as fuck to anyone trying to focus on what they're doing.)
Someone in the reddit thread said this has some weird pervy energy to it and while I think that could just be AI generated video noise, it also could be an explanation for this thing. It's a lamp with a camera in it that can track movements, I can't imagine it working for much else beyond that.
I feel like a concept like this could work, make a lamp that behaves like a pet or something, that you can pat it and stuff, let people anthropomorphise it. But as is it is just useless and the ad has weird creepy undertones.
