It should work regardless, but Lemmy often requires an external community to be searched explicitly on an instance before it shows up and starts synchronizing content. I’d be curious if it works after searching for [email protected] (or whatever the community is)

This is probably it. I ran into it a few times.

If anyone wondered whether Lemmy is ready for the general public, this is exhibit A why it’s a nerd only thing for now.

Neither are blocking each other so the user just needs to aggregate the community to Lemmy.world by searching a few times and subscribing.

It will show up in searches for all lemmy.world users now that it has federated to lemmy.world
