I don't think she is trying to rehabilitate her image. I think she was a MAGA and Qanon true believer, and she's genuinely only just now figured out that they were lying criminals. She's still 100% on-board with the hateful, bigoted, totalitarian christofascism; she just no longer trusts Trump's faction to lead it.

She wants to appeal to all the political conservatives - as distinct from the maga muppets - who currently feel disenfranchised. She's setting herself up for a presidential run. The only possible good that I can see from this weird ‘turn’ of hers is that now that she’s speaking truth, perhaps some of the boomers she peddled fake news to will listen and never vote Republican again. Not going to hold my breath however.
