Oh man, if Iran kills Trump I would be so happy.

It'd cause a huge amount of trouble, and many people would die

But I'd still pop a bottle of champagne I've been saving

I feel comfortable saying I believe it would solve MANY more problems than it would cause.

MAGA would essentially implode, it's all about Trump and when he passes there's no one who can carry the torch. These people will go on talking about it being a liberal conspiracy Trump is dead and become even more violent.

MAGA is a classic Cult of Personality, and Trump is the man. There is no #2, or even an obvious successor. Vance, Rubio, Don Jr, and others all see themselves as the heir apparent, but the MAGA rank & file only love Trump, and when he's gone, most of them will fade away.

Some may try to keep it together, but their hearts won't be in it. 90% of the MAGA following will go away, leaving only Republicans who sold their souls for the worst president and the most prolific traitor in American history.

When he croaks, the knives will come out, and the backstabbing will begin. I can't wait.

Don't give in to the threats, Dear Leader, be out in the open as publicly and vulnerably as possible. If you show fear instead of living your life as normal then the terrorists win^TM^! You should definitely take zero precautions against these threats, you certainly won't regret taking zero precautions against these threats.

Dear God somebody needs to take him out. So far it's been all the Republicans taking shots at him and fucking showing up on his properties with guns. They need some backup.

This sounds like something Trump would say, actually.

Trump is 100000000000000% more likely to die from eating yet another McBurger in the next 24hrs than he's to be assassinated by the Islamic Regime from now to the end of his natural lifespan.
Also, to people who'd view that as a positive because hurr durr Trump (I get it): that would lead to President Vance with a mandate to wage a war of revenge. The whole political discussion would suddenly shift from all the damage that Trump has done to USA, to destroying Iran, with a high possibility of giving more strength to republicans.

The point Iran is making is that a war does not need billions of dollars of munitions to turn. They can do a lot of damage economically. This world would have been a 20x better place if some kid just aimed 2 inches to the right.

I don't think causus belli works like that in the modern day, and we haven't cared about legal mandates for war in the US for like 50 years.

Vance probably won't have a political mandate for continued war because a historically unpopular and getting more so by the moment president was killed in retaliation for a war he started.

I am not so sure. Trump is an idiot and ignores people's advice because he thinks hes a genius, so I could see Iranian cells in america coming up with a viable assassination plot. Especially since they are not against kamikazee typed assassinations.

I want to buy a telescoping flag pole. Forget half mast, I want to be able to fly flags at double mast when someone particularly wicked dies.

I never have understood this take. Vance has a lot of evil in him but Trump's strength lies in having millions of supporters. Vance doesn't have that. They barely tolerate him. Politics isn't about just getting into power, you have to have people willing to support your plans. As much as Trump wants it to be, it's not a dictatorship, and the only reason it looks so much like one is that he has thousands of people in government who will break the law because he wants them to. What reason do we have to think they'd be even half as willing to do that for Vance?

  • Vance has the charm and charisma of a dead mouse under a door mat. Right wing propaganda and think tanks built the perfect fascist base but it was hijacked by Trump and they won't follow anyone else exclusively. There'll still be MAGA like there's still cultists from dead cults.

How about this, we root for the Islamic regime of Iran to fall. And we root for Trump to have a massive heart attack and shit himself once again on TV while walking across the stage or maybe down the stairs of Air Force One so he's remembered as the jackass that died on TV.
