It's the dunk tank.

This is where you come to post big-brained hot takes by chuds, libs, or even fellow leftists, and tear them to itty-bitty pieces with precision dunkstrikes.

Rule 1: All posts must include links to the subject matter, and no identifying information should be redacted.

Rule 2: If your source is a reactionary website, please use archive.is instead of linking directly.

Rule 3: No sectarianism.

Rule 4: TERF/SWERFs Not Welcome

Rule 5: No ableism of any kind (that includes stuff like libt*rd)

Rule 6: Do not post fellow hexbears.

Rule 7: Do not individually target other instances' admins or moderators.

Rule 8: The subject of a post cannot be low hanging fruit, that is comments/posts made by a private person that have low amount of upvotes/likes/views. Comments/Posts made on other instances that are accessible from hexbear are an exception to this. Posts that do not meet this requirement can be posted to [email protected]

Rule 9: if you post ironic rage bait im going to make a personal visit to your house to make sure you never make this mistake again

MODERATORS

Edit: This person is pretty young from what I've gathered after some reddit searching, so don't like go whole-hog and be weirdos on reddit trying to troll them or anything. This is mostly about how fucking absurd the modding of that subreddit is

editedit: also Anarchism isn't what I'm dunking here. However, post-left anything is not covered in the sectarian treaty

"Post-left" usually means "got a tech job now, fuck you got mine." :agony-minion:

[–] [email protected] 0 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Either that or "I am a crypto-fasicst"

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

I went through a stage where I was worried that I was being reductionist calling everything I don't like fascism but then I spent six hours reading about how the de-Nazification basically just didn't happen in any meaningful way and now I'm right back on my bullshit.

Fascism wasn't some new, emergent ideology of the 20th century. It was the solidification of the historical reactionary ethos and old world order. Everything looks fascist because fascism is the status quo defending itself from proletarian revolution.

I find it funny when an alleged anarchist says they don’t read theory because anarchist theory is incredibly in-depth

Remember people: he does it for free

I argued with this guy in the folk punk subreddit (he asked if folk punk had any post left associations) and I told him he was a lib larping as an anarchist like Vaush and he bitched out and deleted his post. How did he get to mod anything with that thin of a skin.

Lmfao to be fair I'd be pretty heated to be compared to Vaughn myself

[–] [email protected] 0 points 2 years ago (2 children)

What the hell is post-left, anyway?

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

It was supposed to be people who got tired/burnt out from the constant shitstirring of leftist spaces who said fuck off i'm gonna get mine and turned their back on leftism.

Nowadays it's what individualist anarchists call themselves so they don't get associated with Stirner.

The new “I’m not like other leftists” meme for crypto-conservative libs

The motherfuckers aren’t even neo-Keynesians or MMTers or some shit, just a gaggle of Joe Rogan fans with big heads

[–] [email protected] 0 points 2 years ago (1 children)

[–] [email protected] 0 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Chapo: "FUCK THAT GUY HE'S A FUCKING ASSHOLE I HATE HIM SO FUCKING MUCH I'M GOING TO PERSONALLY BOOT-BOX HIS FUCKING HEAD IN TO A NON-ORTHOGONAL SHAPE!"

Other Chapo: "Actually they're Enby"

Chapo: "Oh shit sorry. They. I'M GOING TO PERSONALLY BOOT-BOX THEIR FUCKING HEAD IN TO A NON-ORTHOGONAL SHAPE! AND THEN I'M GONNA..."

We may be douchebags, but we have standards.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

apparently there are a lot of "anarchist" weirdos running the show that hate "tankies."

[–] [email protected] 0 points 2 years ago (2 children)

Postleft anarchist? Does postleft have another meaning? I associate it almost exclusively with terminally online social reactionaries who might use some Marxist language, but I've never seen one identify with anarchism, or even pretend to

[–] [email protected] 0 points 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago) (1 children)

post-left doesn't have a good singular definition because its adherents are all over the place. It's been a term for at least 30 years now. The weird online reactionaries are just using the name because I'm pretty sure they were unaware post-left anarchists were a thing.

Their most common feature of post-leftists is they don't really believe in class struggle or abolishing the current conditions. They don't really believe in trying to change anything. They don't even really believe in revolution. They believe a kind of utopian society is possible now by just disentangling from society entirely and forming your own little groups of like minded people. A lot of them think they've somehow unlocked a cheat code for politics that's like "Yo what if you just stopped caring about who the fuckin president is and you stop going to work and just start a garden with some friends?"

It's like if a bunch of people somehow internalized that one right wing argument that you can just be communist on your own plot of land and invent your own new society.

What is weird, people did try this, anarchists fairly explicitly in Europe (and enclaves still exist), but also hippies with communes in usa. How is it post, if it’s an autonomous sort of cell structure from below?

You may be putting more thought in to this than it's adherents.

Every time I read this I either think this person is responding to someone incredibly specific or it's just one of the more :jesse-wtf: things I've ever read, because almost none of the things the person is talking about resonate with me
