Russian attacks and Ukrainian civilian deaths rose as President Trump’s peace talks dragged on during his first year back in the White House.

President Trump repeatedly promised during his campaign that he would end the war in Ukraine in one day.

But by most measures, the war has grown worse for Ukrainians since Mr. Trump returned to the White House, not better. More civilians were killed and injured in 2025 than in the previous year. More missiles and drones are hitting city centers. Russia captured more territory in its slow-moving advances in 2025 than in any year since 2022, when it launched its full-scale invasion. Moscow has practically destroyed Ukraine’s power grid during the country’s harshest winter in more than a decade.

. . .

After taking office in January 2025, Mr. Trump tossed out the American playbook for the war. He made overtures to President Vladimir V. Putin of Russia, the aggressor in the conflict and an avowed opponent of the West, while distancing the United States from Ukraine. U.S. aid to Ukraine fell by 99 percent in 2025 compared with the year before, according to the Kiel Institute for the World Economy, a German research center. Mr. Trump stopped giving American weapons to Kyiv, unless it or its Western allies paid for them.

Of course not, he's a meat puppet for practically anyone corporate, right-wing, white, Christian... and Putin and his gang of oligarchs.

If intelligence is being leaked to Russia by the uSA those doing so and associated people need to be tried for treason.

Important to remember that, at the time, anyone with a single working brain cell knew Trump meant he would end the war by essentially abandoning Ukraine and letting Russia have whatever they want. As with most of his “plans,” that worked out great for everyone involved.

As a Ukrainian I have to confirm. Based on data, once trump took the office, the war became worse by direct and indirect actions from trump's admin. Direct: now Ukraine has only 5% of support US used to give under Biden admin, now Ukraine does not receive reliable Intel shifting key supply to France, now Ukraine does not share Intel with US too as it constantly leaks to russia, US is strong arming Ukraine to bend the knee to an invading russia while the whole world keep supporting Ukraine and helping to stand the ground. Indirect: russia have increased their shelling of Ukrainian civilians by over 100%, russia demands more during peace negotiations knowing trump's admin will support russian claims, trump's admin is actively supporting far right moves across EU to ruin EU from within and weaken support to Ukraine and resilience against russia.

You can search each of these and you will find proofs. I say US is one of key threats to humanity and democracy alongside with russia and china. I am sorry, this is what it is now based on each fact.

my favourite thing is that despite all the support from the US drying up, the Ukraine actually gained about 200sqkm of land in the last few months. go the ukraine!

Have you ever seen U.S. bring peace to somewhere ? U.S’s motto creates chaos and benefit from it

I'm not going to say the US has always been on the side of angels, far from it, but treating the current administration as business as usual is disingenuous at best.

What kind of idiot still listens to trumps words? He lies so much its more reliable to just assume the opposite.
